Aged Chest - 3-D Model

So, this is a peice of homework i've been working on over the holidays. (this is one of the simpler assignments) In which I had to create a texture for a Chest. and then another texture, of the same chest aged by 90 years with a few specifications.

Note here though, that I built this chest model, and didn't use the one we were given by our instructor (this is a personal choice, I thought the one handed out to us was horrible to a scale of morbid.)

This chest is 100% owned by me, created by me, and textured by me, and i am actually very proud of the way it turned out. The Texture space is rather small, and I managed to get it to look good, I like that

This is a chest aged by 90 years, 30 years moving around place to place, some time inside a house for storage, sometime outside a house in a shed, and 10 years on the porch of a beachouse. That's what we were asked to do, and I think it came out pretty well.

Also, there is no Spec map on this, it is only a Diff, this is because I didn't want to make it look all bumpy and such.. I wanted to give it a very weatherd, smoothed out look.


I have another version of this, with a 1024 map on it, but I wont submit that one, as the smaller map actually seems better than the larger. Even though they'er one and the same.. Odd.
